I Have A Strange Kid

Rerun has really gotten into Peanuts.  All the kids have enjoyed the old cartoons, the new movie, and now the new TV series, but sometimes Rerun just makes me scratch my head.

In both “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown” and in The Peanuts Movie, Charlie Brown does a book report on Leo Tolstoy’s “War and Peace.”  Or, as Peppermint Patty calls it in the movie, “‘War and Peace’ by Leo’s Toy Story.”

When Rerun was at the library with me this week, he insisted on finding a copy of “War and Peace.”  He took the largest copy the library had off the shelf.  Then he insisted on checking it out and bringing it home.

What was even more comical was watching him casually flip through it in the car on the way home.

I wonder if I could start reading it to him as a bedtime story?  He might fall asleep really fast.
