LEGO Americana Roadshow!
Completely by chance, via a community Facebook group, I learned that a LEGO exhibit had come to our local mall. I had no idea the size or scope of it, but I thought Tad might enjoy seeing the one thing I had seen online – a LEGO scale model of the US Capitol building.
And he did. But there was a whole lot more to see. As in, many other national landmarks rendered in LEGO.
The Washington Monument.
The White House.
The Liberty Bell.
The Lincoln Memorial.
The Supreme Court.
And the Statue of Liberty.
These were truly amazing builds (and the Jefferson Memorial, the Old North Church, and Independence Hall were also there), and Tad really enjoyed seeing these – and following a map to find everything. Because everything is better when you can follow a map.
I wonder if they have job openings for LEGO builders? Because that would be Tad’s dream job. Well, one of them, anyway.
This exhibit is so much fun, and I hope that we can visit it again before it leaves in two weeks! Thumper might not be that impressed with it, but Rerun would like it!
