Art of the Week(s) – Dog Sculpture!

This was actually a three-week project, in case you’ve been wondering where Tad’s art has been.  It’s been a work in progress!  It was time to do another sculpture!

Week 1 was introducing the project and creating the armature out of aluminum foil.  Week 2 was the actual sculpting.

Yesterday was week 3, and it was time to paint!

Tad meant it to be a tribute to Rusty, Grandma and Gichan’s late German Shepherd, who Tad still remembers fondly even after his passing in 2012.

However, due to his proportions, he gives off a Davey and Goliath vibe to those of us adults who know the old claymation show.

Tad was really proud of his work!
