Halfway Through Camp

I can honestly say that while sending the boys to camp was a major commitment, it has also been really good for them.

We are officially, as of today, two and a half weeks in, with two and a half weeks more to go.

This was the scene in the car last Friday, when the boys got milkshakes at Dick’s Drive In after their weekly field trip (this time, to the Family Fun Center, which had arcades and carnival games, and bumper cars).  We were also told that Rerun had earned extra points that week for winning the “Most Improved Camper” award in his bunk/group!

It’s a lot of work, but I really think it’s worth it!  At least, that’s what I tell myself after driving up to 80 miles in a day to get them there and back, and still handle Thumper’s therapy sessions.  What a summer!
