First Day of School Crash

This is what the end of the first full day of school looks like.

Thumper was dead asleep on the bus.  He barely roused when I unbuckled him.  He settled heavily in my arms when I picked him and his backpack up.  He snuggled down as soon as I set him on the couch.

He then took a full hour’s nap at home before we hopped in the car to take Tad to art class.

Poor little guy.
