Actual Day of the Cake

Rerun’s birthday last week was actually his golden birthday – he turned 8 on the 8th.  And it was a Thursday, so after swimming lessons, Grandma made pancakes (or as Rerun likes to say “hotcakes”) for dinner, and Auntie brought home a cake.

She even dug up the gold number 8 candle that was on Beth’s birthday cake last summer!

The cake was delicious and Rerun enjoyed being the solo birthday boy – before he has to share the spotlight with his little brother this weekend.
