The Best-Laid Plans

Getting back into the swing of things after a holiday weekend is never easy, especially in our house, where so many of us crave stability and consistency in our everyday schedules.

But Rerun isn’t just out of sorts after a long weekend. After a couple of comments lined up with some subdued behavior,  he went to see the pediatrician.  Long story short, my guess was right, and he has an ear infection.

So, I have company at home today, and a few less plans.

Fortunately, an ear infection isn’t contagious, so he’s going to be back at school tomorrow.  Still, poor kid.
