Rerun the Oblivious Speaks

The house is slowly (emphasis on the slow) being de-Christmased.  While cleaning up, I found a DVD that Rerun had been looking for.

Me: “Rerun, look, I found the Road Runner & Coyote DVD!”

I tossed it into his lap as he was playing Xbox.

45 minutes later…

Rerun: (runs over to me) “Hey Mom, look! I found my DVD!”

Me: “YES, YOU FOUND IT IN YOUR LAP, WHERE I PUT IT.”

Rerun: “Oh.”

I can’t win.
