Ane Speaks – Bluetooth edition
Monkey see, monkey do.
Ever since Washington state passed its “hands free” law that started in July, I have owned a Bluetooth. I feel kind of Borg-like every time I use it. Anyway, Ane is fascinated by it, though she does find it frustrating that I just can’t hand it to her to talk to whomever I might be talking to.
It is also well documented that Ane’s imaginary friend Laura possesses her own cell phone, which Ane can call her on at any time.
On our way to church yesterday for Bible Study, I saw Ane hold her hand up to her ear as we were stopped at a intersection. “Call Laura,” she said, very loudly and distinctly. She then went on to have a conversation with her imaginary friend on her imaginary Bluetooth.
I hope hers gets better reception than mine does.

I like using my Bluetooth around the house, that way I can talk, but have hands free for holding Baby Cousin, getting Little Cousin water, turning Sesame Street on, and appeasing the crowd with Cheerios. I can even cross-stitch with my Bluetooth. It’s probably over-multitasking, but it works.
