Flashback Friday

According to Tad, the only things missing in his life right now are a few inches of snow on the ground and a roaring fire.

Which prompted Ane to say, “Do you remember the Christmas it snowed so much that we got stuck at the entrance to Grandma and Gichan’s cul-de-sac?”

Why, yes I do.

That was some insane snow.

And Ane was just two days short of turning 5, so I’m actually impressed by her memory.

By the next year, I was heavily pregnant with Rerun.  Christmas with only two kids was a whole lot quieter!

I remember that Christmas! Everyone blamed the snow on me (we were there because Oddball was deployed that year). Auntie and I watched you from the living room window carry all the presents while tip-toeing on the ice and snow. Then she said to me, “Wouldn’t be hilarious if she ate it on the ice?” To which I replied “But those are our presents.” So she restated, “Ok, she eats it, but the presents are ok.”

    Ah, sisters.
