Clean break
My day was going pretty well yesterday. We had a Slip ‘n’ Slide party at church, which the kids really enjoyed. Then we came home, all ready for naps. Ane napped. Tad did not.
Tad decided to try to jump out of his crib.
As a result, I am blogging from the hospital.
Tad broke his left arm.
He has a clean fracture of the humerus bone right above the elbow. He is waiting for surgery – they are going to insert pins into the bone, then cast the arm. The pins will be removed in a week, and then he will wear a cast for at least two weeks after that.
Right now, he is on morphine to manage the pain, and it’s definitely helping, though it makes him sleepy.
Ane stayed with Grandma and Gichan last night, and will hang out at their house with baby Libby today. The Webmaster is taking the day off, obviously. We hope to have Tad home by tonight. Friend and CW Dad came to lend their moral support last night, and we really appreciated their help.
Your good wishes and prayers are greatly appreciated as well. We’ll keep you all posted.

Poor Tad. =( Here’s to wishing him a speedy recovery. As bad as it is, at least it was only his arm. :-\ *hugs to you and to your family*
