Spring? What spring?

So, yes, it snowed this weekend. It was coming down nice and thick and fluffy Friday evening, and by Saturday morning we had SEVEN INCHES OF SNOW.

Fortunately, by the time we had to go anywhere, it had pretty much melted off the roads. But we still have some on our lawn in the shady spots right now, even.

My bleeding heart plant in the front yard is half bent over, thanks to the weight of the snow. I haven’t even dared to look at the pansies that Ane and I planted the weekend before in the backyard. *sigh*

Maybe spring will show up by June. Who knows?

But I think that Ane will be having “indoor recess” for the forseeable future at school.

And here’s a funny story to start off your week right:
Ane came up to me out of the blue while she was getting ready for bed on Friday and said, “Mommy, I have a brain in my head.”

When I said yes, she asked, “Why do I have it there?”

“Well, God gave it to you…” I started.

She sighed. “I have to think with it, don’t I?”

Yes, dear. You do.

I’m with Ane, I’d love to go a day where I don’t have to think.
