Molasses

My whole life seems to revolve around this word right now.

I have been moving like it.

I am supposed to be baking with it.

My brain is full of it.

I think I’m trying to do too much. Fortunately, I’m actually starting to FINISH some things, so I’m feeling a little bit better.

I have to finish Christmas shopping this weekend, or I will be out of time.

I am waiting for items to arrive.

I have a birthday party to plan. Two, in fact, since Ane will have both a regular birthday party and a tea party with some of her friends and Little Cousin.

I have to bake cookies.

I need to finish sending out my cards by Monday.

We’ve got to go get our pictures taken with Santa Claus.

I got four hours of sleep yesterday and overslept my alarm by an hour, which made it five hours.

Today is the Webmaster’s Christmas party at work. There’s no telling how much concealer I’m going to have to put under my eyes to make me look awake.

Or how much coffee I will have to drink beforehand so my brain will move a little faster than frozen molasses.

Wow, I’m exhausted just reading that.

Just think what the consequences would be if you didn’t get all those things done???
Not a whole lot! Cross off a few and enjoy Christmas. It will come anyway!
Buy some cookies! Send some gift cards! Buy some of your Christmas cards.
This is advice from one who has crossed many things from my list, and life is less stress and more fun!
