Play Food
Hello all! It’s me, Rerun!
I have been doing quite well with my solid foods. I now eat both breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, I usually have baby oatmeal mixed with a fruit of Mommy’s choice (I’ve tried apples, peaches and pears so far, with peaches being my favorite). For dinner, I have rice cereal with a veggie of Mommy’s choice (so far, she’s given me green beans, squash, peas and carrots, and I can’t say I really have a preference among them). I like my food warm. I often send my food back to the kitchen if it’s not warm enough – even in the middle of a meal sometimes. Fortunately, my personal chef likes me and tends to be accommodating.
However, the other day the chef had made spaghetti and meatballs, and said I was too young to eat it – something about not having enough teeth to chew with. So, while my cereal was being prepped, she gave me a scoop of my brother’s gluten free brown rice noodles to play with. They were slightly overcooked, but Tad didn’t care and Mommy said that if I ate them, it was okay, because there wasn’t anything in them I hadn’t already had. I did manage to take a bite, and it was cold and slimy and made me gag a little when I swallowed one.
I don’t see what all the fuss is about “grown-up” food – I like my cereals and pureed fruits and veggies just fine. But I did like getting to play with my food. Maybe I’ll try this again sometime with something tastier! And warmer. I must talk to the chef – again! – about keeping my food warm.

With this many complaints about service I think you’ve lost your tip, Deanna.
