Strike That

Okay, when I said that the Webmaster had a new job last week?

Yeah… on Friday they changed their minds.  The job offer that had been officially given, letters signed, offer accepted… no more.

So, back to square two, because the Webmaster, who still had some cards up his sleeve (Just. In. Case!), has another interview lined up for this coming Thursday, with more phone screenings and possible face-to-face interviews likely.

In the meantime, it really sucks to have something waved in front of your face and then have it snatched away, because reputable companies, though they want to hire you and think you’re great, suddenly remember that they need to make budget for their fiscal year and your potential salary isn’t included in that budget.

Sorry to start the week off on such a negative note, everyone.  Hopefully, I’ll have better news by the end of the week.  In the meantime, I think we all need a palate cleanser to get the bad taste out of our mouths.

Oh, look, a cute baby!  Will Cheerios do for a palate cleanser?

These are the new appetizer of choice for young palates with only two teeth.

Though the way he’s been drooling and gumming and biting… I think new teeth may be showing up in the near future.

Now, if only I could get rid of that chapped upper lip…

Baby Cousin has the same problem with her upper lip in cold weather; the solution: Aquafor!

Love to see them work those little digits to grasp the Cherrios, and then concentrate on getting them to their mouth!
And, Thanksgiving dinner at my house. Hope you can come. I’ll block the stairs and kid-proof the house.
