New and Improved!

Well, what do you think?

The blog’s updated look is the result of many hours of hard work by the Webmaster, my personal tech support (big thank-yous and applause to him!), and several different ideas that we had.

So I now have an official blogroll and other links (though we are still adding to it and tweaking it), and a much nicer looking background. The Webmaster found this picture (Pikachu not included) on a local photo site. The cherry blossom tree photo was taken at our alma mater, the University of Washington, and is located in the area known as the Quad (short for Quadrangle), which is a large plot of brick walkways and Yoshino cherry blossom trees that are major attractions every spring, and surrounded by large buildings with fabulous Collegiate Gothic architecture. Cherry blossoms have great sentiment for me – besides being linked to my college days, it also is a big part of my memories of Japan and my growing up in the Seattle area attending the annual Cherry Blossom Festival at the Seattle Center. My first date with the Webmaster was at this particular festival coming up on seven years ago, incidentally.

Things are beginning to really shape up around here, though we still are working on different ideas. In the meantime, leave a comment and tell me what you think!
