Open to interpretation

The Munchkin, like many little girls the world over, loves to play dress-up. She has a few large T-shirts that she calls “dresses,” and will wear them over her clothes to play around the house in. Most of these shirts are hand-me-downs from her Ojichan, my father.

One particular shirt that she likes a lot is a red one with the kanji for “ichiban” on it, which is Japanese for “number one.” The Munchkin wanted to play with it yesterday, and I held it up and out to her. “Do you know what this says, sweetie?” I asked.

She didn’t hestitate. “It says, ‘Dear Munchkin, please wear this’,” she emphatically informed me.

I barely held my giggles in.

Too funny! Little Cousin loves dress-up too. She swipes my cardigan when I’ve taken it off and wraps herself in it like a shawl.
