Last-minute Christmas details

We watched “Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tales” last night (it’s an extra feature on the “I Want A Dog For Christmas, Charlie Brown” DVD), and several of the Peanuts characters write letters to Santa Claus (or in Sally’s case, Samantha Claus). At bedtime, the Munchkin got it into her head that she needed to write Santa. The Webmaster helped her out, but she apparently wants only one thing: a pink flashlight.

Great, NOW she tells us! And this is AFTER the big storms and blackouts up here!

My dad had talked about getting her a small flashlight, since she’s been playing with one over at their house recently. Now we have to look for a PINK one, of all things.

Honestly, I don’t think she’ll care too much if the color is different. She’s not old enough to be worried about details. I think she’ll be happy to have her own flashlight. Still, I think we’ll be looking for a pink one. And if she doesn’t get pink, I’ll just tell her Santa ran out of pink, and she needs to write her requests down earlier next year.

One scrapbook is on its way to its future owner. It will end up being a Boxing Day gift for the Webmaster’s grandmother in Colorado, because we didn’t feel like paying $44 to get it there by Saturday afternoon. We’ll call her on Christmas Day and tell her to watch for the FedEx truck tomorrow. The rest of the scrapbooks are near completion, and will be done on time, God and the power company willing.

Still baking cookies here. I need to make at least one batch of mint fudge. Because I love it so much.

Tad has a new game. He hits the Munchkin and then says, “Uh-oh!”

I’ve been trying to stop him, but pretty soon she’s going to smack him back, and then we’re going to have The Crying Game around here.

Of course, she hit him unprovoked the other day, and he bit her back. When she came running to me, she wasn’t happy that I knew why he’d bit her.

I hope everyone survives the weekend! I wish I had a few more days to work with, but Christmas is going to happen, whether I’m ready or not. Come back Monday (Christmas Day!) for a special picture and Christmas wish.

Target has small pink Disney Princess flashlights. We got one for my niece for Christmas. Hope that helps!

As I sit here typing, I hear my oldest and youngest in the background, both yelling and crying, both attacking each other. I have no idea who started it, but at this point BOTH of them are in the wrong.

I am going to ignore it as long as I can, because if I go in there now, TWO heads will roll.

Oh, by the way, MERRY CHRISTMAS, to you and your family!
