Ane’s Birthday, part 1

With the computer functioning and the picture library fully restored, I can now post Christmas-era pictures again!

So, here are some fun pictures from Ane’s birthday.

Princess Castle Cake
This is the cake that I made for her birthday party. This is not the “completed” version – the finished cake had her name on the top and Princess figurines all around. If you wish to see the complete cake, email me and I’ll send it to you.

Presents!!!
She was excited. Can’t you tell?

Sampling the cake
The cake was chocolate, at her request. It is not easy to frost a chocolate cake in white icing. But she enjoyed it, and the ice cream.

Ane with her Obachan
Of course, the best part of the cake was the Princess figurines, which we had purchased from the Disney Store specifically for her cake. I told her that once the party was over, that these princesses were hers to play with. The frosting wasn’t even off them yet when she started, and she introduced them all to her Obachan.

A cousins' lightsaber duel
Little Cousin, Baby Cousin and Resiss had arrived the day before the party, so they were there for all the fun. Little Cousin borrowed Tad’s lightsaber and she and Ane wound down after the party with a lightsaber duel in the kitchen. Yes, I chased them out when my dishes started to be at risk from the wild swinging.

Tomorrow… inflatable toys, chocolate cupcakes, and 23 children running wild – otherwise known as Ane’s kids party!

I think Little Cousin won the lightsaber duel.

    Looks like Great fun!
This was a much better idea than taking 23 kids to Chucky Cheese!
