Fun with Little Cousin

We love Baby Cousin a lot. A LOT. But… to Ane and Tad, she’s just a baby (Ane got to hold her more than once, and Tad was pretty indifferent to her).

But Little Cousin, who is 18 months younger than Ane and 2 months older than Tad, is a playmate. Ane and Little Cousin discovered a hugging friend – the two of them would instantly hug whenever they saw each other. They are both friendly little souls. And Tad discovered a partner in crime – someone just his age who he could play alongside with without fighting, and Little Cousin liked seeing him get into things – and sometimes followed him. We jokingly called Little Cousin and Tad “the twins” – and out in public, several times, we were asked if they were twins. The kicker was at Ane’s party at Pump It Up – the staff asked which kids were mine, because they knew Ane belonged to me (being the birthday girl), and when I said that Tad was mine, they were confused. They thought Little Cousin was mine because they thought she was Tad’s twin, and they also thought Auntie was mine as well. Yes, this has happened before, especially when Auntie was younger.

Anyway, here’s just a sample of the fun that Little Cousin had with Ane and Tad while she was here.

Resiss and I took the kids to University Village to get this done for Baby Cousin, and then after lunch we let the kids play in the best play area EVER. It is outdoors, but has a carport-style roof over it, with outdoor play equipment and astro turf, and it is completely fenced in with a gate. Like I said, the best play area EVER.

Do you think they’re having fun together?

Auntie had her birthday while Resiss and the girls were still here. All the little kids love their Auntie, and who can blame them? She gets to be the fun one.

Little Cousin adores her Uncle Webmaster. We haven’t been able to explain it, but since her visit last spring, she has just loved on him every chance she gets. She also adores her Gichan to pieces. This was taken at church, and the Webmaster had his hands full when both his little niece and his son wanted up.

Can you feel the love?

We took the kids and met up with Friend and the boys at a local community center for their daily playtime. Little Cousin liked trying out all the new toys – especially the Little Tikes car!

And just to prove that we do love Baby Cousin, too…

Ane loved being able to talk to her and hold her… and now she’s asking when she can have a baby sister.
