Updating the Crud

We got a phone call yesterday from Ane’s school saying, “She’s not feeling well, so…”

However, Tad made it through his school day with no problems. His teachers were relieved to hear that he’d been checked out at the doctor’s office, and were willing to have him back in class.

Last night, both kids stayed home from church and the Webmaster stayed with them. Two other kids were missing from Cubbies as well, and it was surprisingly (or not) quieter last night. Ane had been running a fever ever since she’d gotten home from school, and her cough was stuck firmly in her throat.

She’s staying home from school today – a decision she made herself last night, which she only partially regrets this morning. She realizes that she still doesn’t feel good, but she knows that she’ll be missing out on all sorts of fun things at school. It’s hard to be sick at this time of year. Hopefully, she’ll get another good night of sleep under her belt tonight and be really ready to go back to school tomorrow.

And the Webmaster and I are washing our hands and taking Airborne – if for no other reason than to make us feel better.
