Happy New Year 2010!

We celebrated with a play date…

… which turned into a spontaneous sleep-over (the first for both girls).

Eventually, everyone went to sleep, but not until several reminders were given to calm down and STOP TALKING.

This morning, the breakfast menu was french toast, sausage links, and hot chocolate. The rest of today will be dedicated to a traditional (for our family, anyway) Japanese New Year’s feast. I made the rainbow jello. (Hey, I said this was our family… New Year’s isn’t complete until there’s rainbow jello!)
