Project Complete
It always gives me a great sense of accomplishment to actually completely finish a project – especially a project meant for somebody else.
I finished cross-stitching a picture onto a sweatshirt yesterday.
Three guesses who the sweatshirt was for, and the first two don’t count.
Tad had seen me working on this, so it wasn’t meant to be a surprise. But when he walked in the door yesterday from school, and I said to him, “I have a surprise for you,” and showed him the finished sweatshirt, his jaw dropped. He was thrilled with it.
Not that you could tell by his forced grin for the camera.
I had found this particular pattern for free online, and was pretty pleased with it – mostly because all the other patterns I’d found made the shark look very cartoony. I did modify the pattern a little, but overall, I like how it turned out. If Tad could automatically tell that it was a shark, then I’m happy. He’s very particular about his sharks.
And I’m keeping the pattern. I have a feeling it may come in handy again someday.
