Flashback Friday
It’s a little early for this picture, but it’s Flashback Friday, after all! This next Tuesday will be the Captain and Q-Bee’s 8th wedding anniversary.
This picture is from their wedding, and the Captain (who was not yet the Captain, but a 2nd lieutenant) was cutting the groom’s cake. The wedding took place in Alabama, where Q-Bee was born and raised.
And I am very happy that I currently possess no good picture of me from this wedding, so I am not obligated to post one. Let’s just say that I was the fat bridesmaid. Now, I had a good excuse – I was five months pregnant with Ane. But I was surrounded by slender, younger, unmarried bridesmaids (my own sisters included), and the dress was not flattering for a pregnant woman.
Eight years, two tours in Iraq, and four daughters. Happy Anniversary, Captain and Q-Bee! Can’t wait to see you in December!

Ah, yes…their wedding. Those dresses also wrinkled horribly, so I didn’t sit down at all once I’d put mine on until after the ceremony. My feet were tired, but I’m the only bridesmaid without creases in her dress in the pictures!
