Baking Fiend

Once all the Christmas cards went out (aside from the straggler here and there, and the few that I will hand-deliver), I knew it was time to put the pedal to the metal and BAKE LIKE THERE’S NO TOMORROW.

Unfortunately, when I went to prep some gingerbread cookie dough, I discovered I only had 1/3 cup of molasses left.


So I’ve been baking other cookies that I did have the ingredients for.  Like Angel Thumbprints…

Butter Spritz…

and my new recipe for the year, Peppermint Bark Cookies.

I have also made a batch of fudge, which I finally let the kids sample last night (after they saw Auntie having a piece).  Tad, a confirmed chocoholic, loves fudge.  Ane is my happy taste-tester and was in charge of the sprinkles on the Butter Spritz this year.  Rerun LOVES the Butter Spritz.  Apparently, he’s a traditionalist.

And when I get more molasses, there will be gingerbread.
