You May Have Noticed

I don’t know if you have, but you might have noticed a distinct decrease in the quality of posts around here.  Maybe not.  I know some of you only come here for the cute kid pictures.

However, some of you who have seen me recently may have also noticed that I’m putting on weight.  Which is strange, because I’ve been keeping my diet pretty low fat since the gallbladder got itself kicked out last February.

The truth is, I’ve been sick and having to eat a lot.

As of tomorrow, I will be 13 weeks pregnant.

Rub your eyes and blink.  Yes, you read that right.

The most important question to answer is, yes, we are certifiably insane.  But what can I say?  We obviously make cute kids.  They are pretty addicting.  But this is absolutely our last child, unless God plays a huge practical joke on us.

My due date is March 30th.  This puts just 3 years between Rerun and Number Four.  Yes, we will be finding out the gender of Number Four right before Thanksgiving, if he/she cooperates during the ultrasound.  And we know that there is only ONE baby in there.

The kids know.  Ane is excited and desperately hoping for a sister.  She feels like since all her cousins have at least one sister, she deserves one, too.  Tad is calmly accepting – he remembers me being pregnant with Rerun, but since I don’t look visibly pregnant, it’s easy for him to put it out of his mind.  Rerun is happily clueless.  Man, is HE in for a rude awakening!

The Webmaster and I are excited, but I have been very sick for several weeks.  It’s finally been lifting a little over this last week, though I still have my bad moments and may yet finish off another bag of candied ginger before I feel confident enough to not carry some around with me at all times.  And I really hate the taste of ginger now.  But it’s worked for me.  But being this sick, plus still having to care for three children plus husband (who has his arm in a sling right now), has really convinced me that this is the last time I can go through pregnancy and keep what’s left of my sanity.  Plus, I’m getting too old for this.  My birthday is next week and I’m not “elderly” yet as far as pregnancy is concerned, but I will be the same age that my mother was when Auntie was born.  So, I am comfortable with this being my last pregnancy and baby.

Well, there you go.  Now you all know.  I am looking forward to being far more verbose and entertaining in the future, once I feel better.  Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

What, no picture?!? That IS the only reason I come here!

And Little Cousin prays for her new cousin in your tummy every night. It’s pretty cute.

I know! I’m disappointed too with the lack of pictures! I only read your blog when I’m a school!! And let’s be honest, I don’t read. I only look at the pictures! Being pregnant is no excuse!! Just saying :]

Oh, Congratulations, Insane One! But, yes, you do have cute kids. I’m excited for you, and hope you have enough ginger candy to last you until you are feeling better enough. Seriously. One can be pregnant or one can be a mother, but doing them both at the same time is a bit…exhausting.
