Baseball Night
Last Saturday, Auntie got us tickets for the Mariners game! It was the second-to-last homestand of the season, and only the second sellout of the season! We got there very early because there was a fun T-shirt giveaway for Felix Hernandez.
Auntie was working the game as a ball girl, and Grandma and Gichan had tickets, too.
The game was a pitcher’s duel.
Unfortunately, the Mariners lost in 10 innings, and we had to leave at the end of the 9th to get the car before our parking ran out. But the kids had a good time, because they love being there at the game. Thumper was extra-squirrely this time (and was trying to charm the people around us before falling asleep on the Webmaster’s shoulder), but we (and when I say we, I really mean Grandma) managed to get Tad through the entire game without using the iPad!
Not sure if the Mariners are going to be able to pull out a post-season appearance this year, but the kids don’t care. They just love baseball.
And I’m so glad they do!
