Last Minute Snack

Rerun, if you didn’t know, is a nut about baked goods.  Ice cream and popsicles he will pass on, but mention the word “scone” to him and he usually is right there.

Because his mom loves him, and he’s still getting used to this whole kindergarten thing, I made a batch of gingerbread scones as he was eating his early lunch (the bus comes right after 12 pm), and he took a hot one from the oven on his way to the bus stop.

And he managed to finish it before the bus arrived.

It’s always a good idea to send a kid off to school happy and with a full tummy.
