Fancy Night For Therapy’s Sake

I think this is going to be our new annual thing.  Because we really enjoy it, AND it’s for a good cause!

Last year was the inaugural fundraiser dinner for the University of Washington Autism Center, where Tad and Thumper are patients.  Well, it was such a success that it happened all again last Saturday, and the Webmaster and I dressed up for an even more fancy venue than last year.  This year’s dinner and auction was held at The Rainier Club in downtown Seattle.

The silent auction was doubled in size, along with the in-kind donations from several companies, and I let the Webmaster bid on ONE thing during the live auction (our limit got passed quickly), and we had an excellent meal along with a delicious chocolate cake for dessert.  We were sitting with the director of the boys’ summer camp, and the family who created/coordinates the annual 5K to benefit the Autism Center (which Ane and the Webmaster ran last year, and are signed up for again this year), and the featured speaker for the evening.  We had a great time at the table!
