Ane (Mis)Speaks!
My daughter came rushing into the kitchen last night as I was finishing up the dishes. “Mommy! Daddy needed a toothpick to get the boogers out of Tad’s nose and I got it for him! I was a helper, Mommy!”
I blinked. “A toothpick?”
The Webmaster yelled in from Tad’s room, “You mean Q-Tip, Ane!”
Ane stopped. “Oh, I mean Q-Tip! I was a helper, Mommy!”
And so it goes…
Okay, it was the first night of the voting on American Idol! After watching the 12 guys, I think I can already pick the Top 6 of them. But I think that Luke (quiet and booooorrring) and Garrett (who looked starved and washed out and was also booorrring) are going first. And if Danny pouts at Simon again, I fully expect Simon to reach out and pull that lip over his head. Or I may reach through the TV and do it. What say you?

I think there’s a reason why we didn’t see much of Garrett before last night. He was so boring the cameras didn’t bother following him.
If he’s not the first guy off, America should be ashamed.

I really think the guys are lacking this year. “Boring” is a good word to sum up the night. I only see two: David Archuleta (the 17-year-old who everyone loves) and Michael Johns (the Australian) amounting to much in the competition, or a music career for that matter.
And if Danny pouts at Simon again, I might smack him.

Yes. Danny-boy was so girly that I swear it was my cousin Brittany with short hair. Eeek.

I can’t believe I forgot to watch (except that I got home last night at 11:00.) But I already know that Danny bugs me. He preens too much.
