Sleeping Habits
Tad’s dislike of his own bed has been well documented, as is his nocturnal mobility. Recently, he’s gone back to the couch again.
On Monday morning, I woke up at 4 am and discovered that Tad’s door was wide open – and so was Ane’s. I thought that he had snuck in there again, but then I realized that Ane was out of bed, too.
Where were they?
When I found them at 4 am, they were sleeping on opposite ends of the couch. By 6:30 (the time we usually start waking Tad on a school morning), they were cuddled up together on the couch.
Of course, waking Tad also meant waking Ane – which was an hour earlier than she normally gets up, because her school starts an hour later. When I asked her why she was sleeping on the couch with her brother, she said “Tad woke me up and dragged me out here.”
Uh-huh. Sure.
They are pretty cute like this. However, I can’t be getting up all hours of the night to make sure everyone stays in bed. I’m really hoping this was a one-time event.

That picture is worth 1000 words. Poor little waifs comforting each other.
