Getting Stuff DONE

I think the Christmas shopping is close to being done. I do have a few things left to get, but I have (God willing) placed my last online orders – which have started arriving. I spent part of the kids’ nap time yesterday wrapping up presents without “help” from Ane. She wrote up the tags later.

I finally got some Christmas cards sent out – not all of them, mind you. I’m in a “make as you go” mode, because I put off the making of the cards far too long. So now everyone is getting the same card this year, but I don’t think anyone will complain. They all have a cute picture of Ane and Tad on the front.

The Christmas cookies are coming along – although I need to buy more sugar. It’s amazing, really, how you can’t make cookies without sugar. Besides that, the hard part right now is getting butter to soften in this weather.

Speaking of the weather, it’s still cold. But at least the burn ban has been expanded to four surrounding counties. Now we can all be miserable together until some wind blows through or some rain starts falling.

So, I will be putting my head down and working on the remainder of my Christmas cards today – because as soon as they are done, I have to make birthday party invitations for Ane. This is the most wonderful time of the year – for her.
