I Gave Him The Wrong Name

His blog name shouldn’t have been Rerun, apparently.  It should have been Pig-Pen.

He is in Grandma and Gichan’s backyard, playing in the dirt by the pumpkin patch that Grandma was prepping.  It seems he had been sitting there, playing happily, for quite some time.  “He’s Grandma’s little gardening buddy!” she enthused.  “He’s been sitting there the whole time with a rock and playing in the dirt!”

At which point, he shows me said rock.  “Mama!  Dinosaur!”  He thinks large rocks are actually fossilized dinosaur eggs, thanks to the Cat in the Hat dinosaur book.

I had Tad waiting in the car, and we needed to get home.  Did he want to leave?  Nope.  I had to be bad mommy and drag him away from the dirt and the rocks.  However, I think that is now his new favorite spot in their yard.

Note to self – pack clean clothes in his diaper bag for a quick-change for his next trip to Grandma’s.  Good thing his Keen sandals are completely washable.
