First Day of Vacation

And it rained.  And rained.  And rained.

It figures.

I got out some new puzzles for Rerun, Tad did a lot of coloring, and Ane got to make cookies.  We decided on snickerdoodles because we had exactly one egg left in the house at that moment.

When the timer went off, letting us know that the first tray of cookies was ready to come out of the oven, Ane was still rolling balls of cookie dough in the cinnamon sugar mix for the second tray.  “I haven’t finished plating yet!!!” she shrieked.

I stared at my daughter.  “You watch WAY too much Food Network,” I said.

She has come a long way in the kitchen department.
