A Halloween Hug

This has to be one of my favorite pictures from Halloween.

My memories of my own great-grandmothers are very different and distinct.  Three were still living when I was born.  All four of Ane’s great-grandmothers were living when she was born (both of the Webmaster’s grandmothers passed away during the 4 and a half year gap between Tad and Rerun), but I never saw my great-grandmothers as frequently as Ane and the boys see theirs.  I am so grateful for their good health and the time that we do spend with them.  And Obachan has a special place in her heart for this girl, her first great-grandchild, and her namesake (they share the same middle name, which is my middle name as well).

But in another year or two, Ane might be taller than Obachan.  Now won’t that be a scary sight!
