Our Veterans

My deepest thanks and gratitude today go to our veterans – those who are still among us who we can thank for their service to our country.

In our family, Oddball has been doing an extensive amount of genealogical research, and he’s been discovering veterans all up and down the family tree.  One of his latest finds was piecing together that my and my siblings’ great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather (yes, that’s six greats) was a veteran of the Revolutionary War.

So, my thanks today go to the Major and to Oddball for their service, while remembering the many others of my family who have served in years, decades, and centuries past.
