Art of the Week – Raccoon Goes Camping

Tad’s teacher opted to have art class on Memorial Day – which, frankly, was a great thing for Tad, because He Who Must Have A Schedule needed something to keep him sane.

And they made SUCH a cute project!

The canvas panel was painted with watercolors, and then detail was drawn on top of it with oil pastels.  Then Tad drew the raccoon and the border on a separate piece of cardstock, which pops up and wraps around the panel.

He was really proud of his work!

And we’re getting so close to the end of the school year… there are only two more weeks of art lessons!  (Don’t worry, he will be taking the class again in September.)
